CURRENCY AND PRICES

I am seeing a different price on the website, in the cart, and at check-out. What is going on?
We are aware that there is a problem with Shopify (our website host) where some customers see a different price on the website and in their cart. The price you see at checkout is the correct price, so please do not worry about being overcharged. Shopify is aware of the problem, but has yet to find a solution.

For reference, most sticker sheets cost 30 or 40 NOK.
Why are all the prices in NOK?
This shop operates with Norwegian Krone because that's the currency of Norway, where my shop is located. You're seeing an approximate currency conversion based on your location. At checkout, the price will be shown in NOK.

NOK and kr are used interchangeably on this website, but both mean the same thing - kr is the same as what $ is for USD, and € is for EUR.

SHIPPING AND TAXES

Do you offer tracked shipping?
At this moment, we offer tracked shipping to certain European countries. The countries this is offered to is: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Sweden, United Kingdom.
If you're located in one of these countries, you will be able to choose between letter mail (no tracking), letter mail (with tracking) and parcel mail (with tracking) at checkout.

If you're located in other countries, the options are letter mail (no tracking) and parcel mail (with tracking).
How long does shipping take?
This is something we cannot answer completely, as it is in the hands of the postal service. You will receive a shipping confirmation once your order has been processed for shipping, and it will be delivered to the local postal service the same or next day.

Please note that once the shipment has left Norway, we have no way to track your order unless you choose tracked shipping at checkout.

Approximated shipping times:
Norway: 2-5 business days
Europe: 4-10 business days
Rest of world: 4-15 business days
(I regularly experience longer shipping times than this. If your order hasn't arrived in 4 weeks, please reach out.)
Is tax included in the price?
Ikigai Papir is located in Norway, and therefore we only charge VAT to customers located in Norway. If you're located elsewhere, you are not charged any Norwegian taxes in this store.
Essentially, the price you see in the store is tax free. Customers located in Norway sees a higher price, due to VAT being included.
For example, an international customer will see the price of a sticker sheet as 40 NOK, while a Norwegian customer will see it as 50 NOK, because of Norway's 25% VAT.

You are responsible for any VAT that may be added by your local customs office upon receiving your order.
FOR CUSTOMERS IN THE USA
New import laws in the US means packages from Ikigai Papir might be subject to 15% VAT upon receiving the order. While the customs/VAT payment system is being worked out, it is unsure exactly how it will work, but this page will be updated accordingly. Our aim is to be able to offer pre-paid VAT/customs in the near future.

ORDER HASN'T ARRIVED

My order never arrived, what should I do?
In the case of your order getting returned to us, we will reach out via the email address submitted when you ordered.
- If there was a problem with the address you submitted when ordering, we will re-send it as soon as possible, but ask that the customer covers the shipping price due to the mistake being made by the customer.
- If the order is returned due to the customer not picking it up from their local post office, we will re-send it as soon as possible, but ask that the customer covers the shipping price due to the mistake being made by the customer.
- If the order is returned for any other reason (for example mistake by the postal service), we will cover the cost of re-sending the order.
